Discover the story of the Mansion, approximately 450 years old, which has survived countless times over the centuries and has been reborn from the ashes. In 2019, it was nearly completely destroyed by a lightning strike, but its foundation, built from durable oak wood, remained intact.

This architectural gem, originally just 3 x 6 meters, has been renovated while preserving the original shape and size of its doors and windows, with modern amenities added, including sanitary facilities and a terrace.

The central construction element of the Mansion is oak plank. Despite its robust construction, it should not be confused with a log cabin, as the latter is built from coniferous wood and has a semi-circular cross-section.

Originally standing in the southeast of Lower Carniola, the Mansion was relocated around 1980 to its current beautiful location in the village of Polica. This charming building invites you to discover its rich history and enjoy its modern transformation.

Elegance and functionality are complemented by a service building, based on an approximately 200-year-old hayrack structure, which remained untouched despite a fire. This historically faithful structure now hosts a woodshed, bike storage, cellar, and wellness area with a Finnish sauna.
